February 2023 Personal Post

"Without Valentine's Day, February would be, well, January." - Jim Gaffigan
With January in the rear-view mirror, a few bright and sunny days have graced the conclusion of one month and the beginning of another. The month of January had a few great closings, but overall we're feeling the seasonal "slow-down" that years prior to the pandemic provided. It's been a great month for reflection, and I've personally been spending a fair amount of time preparing for the coming transition into a busier time of the year. My plants are thriving, especially the Nasturtium that continue to reach for the windows from their hanging pots. We still have a few holiday themed items hanging around the exterior of our home, but I know my wife has her next design choices in mind and most likely with orders en-route.
February is, of course, Black History Month. This is a valuable time to reflect on equality and the need for its focus in the future. I always think of the work my Mother has put into speaking to the history of Slavery and the Underground Railroad in New Hampshire & Vermont. She is a historian, and you can find her work by searching her name, Michelle Arnosky Sherburne. (Link Below)
I spent a large number of January's hours sorting through contacts and reaching out to people who I had not spoken with for varying durations of time. It was great to correspond with everyone that I did, and I found that many parties are still in the "real estate mix" when it comes to both buying and selling. The upcoming spring season will bring another slew of transactions with it, and I'm happy to say I feel extremely prepared to handle the incoming business.
I've been spending as much time in the sky as possible with the varying weather conditions that we've had. I've been fortunate to produce a few Drone videos that I've posted to my youtube page. (Link Below) I'll be focusing more on this endeavor in the coming year, and most likely stepping in front of the camera at some point. Video content produces a higher number of views and transposes on almost every platform and to almost every market, so it's worth the time and investment.
There are a number of opportunities to collaborate with me in the near future if anyone is interested. I'll be talking Sommelier-shop at a wine tasting event that my brokerage is hosting on 2/17 in Hanover, NH. I'll also be at Riverbend Technical Center's Expo on March 31st and April 1st representing Four Seasons Sotheby's International Realty as well as the Cohase Chamber of Commerce as Riverbend as an Alumni.
As always, please reach out to me at any time if there's anything I can be of assistance with. I hope that all your Valentine's Day plans come together and many tasty dinners are had and romantic evenings celebrated.
